Welcome to my ever changing site dedicated to freedom, justice, capitalism, peace and prosperity. Sure, most claim they are for these things, but actions speak louder than words. This site contains apologies to the world for the abuses done by Americans or in the good name of America. You can call me Harrold, Harry or Haole.

The standard battle cry against critics of the war on terror these days is "cut and run." While it may apply to some, it suggests everyone who does not agree with the Bush administration's handling of the war on terror - a war it declared and Congress didn't - only wants to run away in defeat. How is it that a swaggering cowboy wannabe like Bush, a dark, plotting and face-shooting man like Cheney, and a military invigorator genius like Rumsfeld can control the most powerful military on Earth, yet be incapable of winning this war? |
It is ironic and repugnant that the Bush administration has clouded the moral clarity regarding Saddam Hussein's brutal tyranny. Rather than try Saddam in international courts, he is being tried by a court system installed by a foreign, invading and occupying army. This army attacked without provocation or U.N. approval. Saddam is often denied access to his lawyers, and the trial is often held in sessions closed from public scrutiny. Is this a fair trial? |
Bribery and money's power to corrupt are nothing new. Rather than focus on limiting campaign contributions, with all of its free speech considerations, a better approach is to hold our elected officials accountable. Massive omnibus bills are passed by elected officials at all levels of government. Most of our representatives vote without even reading them. Pork slips in because it's easy to hide needles in a haystack. Our representatives cannot be held accountable with this aberration of lawmaking. |
